ACTOR
Leaf Cutter
Ants Appearance: Rust colored with lighter colored legs, Atta cephalotes is noted for its especially large head (hence the name). The huge queen is up to an inch in length. Workers take many forms and sizes, from large soldiers and major workers with their impressive mandibles to the smallest workers, sized to move easily through the narrow galleries of fungal gardens. A soldier may be 10 times longer and weigh several hundred times more than the smallest worker . Diet: Leaf Cutter ants are true gardeners. They grow their own food by cutting leaves and carrying them back to the nest, where smaller workers then process them further and take them to underground "garden" chambers. All along the way, the leaves are fertilized by their handlers with anal secretions. Fungi then grow on the decaying vegetation, and the ants feed exclusively on the fungus, not the leaves. Longevity: The queen lives up to 10 years on average, but has been known to live 14 years. Anatomy: Ants, like all insects, have jointed legs, three body parts (the head, thorax and abdomen), a pair of antennae, and a hard exoskeleton. The exoskeleton is made up of a material that is very similar to our fingernails. Leafcutters are large ants that have long legs. The worker leafcutter ant ranges from about 0.1 to 0.5 inch long. The males are 0.5 inch long. The queen may be over 1 inch long. Leafcutter ants range in color from orange to brown to red to black.
INTENTION Every living creature in the world have the basic intention, the intention to live, to survive and to adapt to the environment. For any species in this world to survive and not being wipe out, 3 important aspects must be fulfilled. These aspects are food, shelter and reproduction. The lack of any one of these criteria will cause damage to a species and might lead to extinction. SHELTER - A place where an organism can gain protection from it, is known as shelter. it provides safety, comfort, places to breed and even food for the organism that inhabit in the shelter. Ants build their own shelter, breed and gain protection from it. REPRODUCTION - Breeding is an important process to avoid a particular species from getting extinct. Breeding is a process to inherit the gene to the next generation. Therefore, being successful to breed will maintain the population of a species. FOOD - Food is the source of energy if every living creature. By consuming food, organism gain energy to carry with daily activities. The way of gaining food will ensure the existence of any species in the world.
